Feds investigating hoax bomb threat at a restaurant in Myrtle Beach hosting a drag brunch

Federal authorities are investigating a hoax bomb threat that happened at Mr. Fish Seafood Restaurant in Myrtle Beach Sunday, according to multiple news sources.

Messages seeking comment Tuesday to the Myrtle Beach Police Department have not been returned.

It is not clear if the threat was in protest of the drag show brunch that was scheduled the same day.

But the threat resulted in the brunch to be evacuated.

WBTW reported they received an email about the bomb threat and notified police.

Officers responded to the business on North Kings Highway and evacuated the area, according to a Facebook post.

Investigators encourage anyone with information to call the police department at 843-918-1382.
