Police respond after more than 10 shots fired at house
Myrtle Beach police are investigating after more than 10 shots were fired early Thursday morning at a home on Grey Street, according to a police report.
Officers were called about 5:15 a.m. Thursday to a home on the 900 block of Grey Street, off Mr. Joe White Avenue, after shots were reportedly heard being fired.
A 45-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man, the residents, told police about the incident.
The woman told police she was in a back bedroom ironing clothes for work when she heard noise from the front of the house.
The woman mentioned it to her husband, and he said it sounded like fireworks; however, the woman saw that a clock in her living room had a bullet hole in it after investigating, police said.
An officer said in a police report that 10 small bullet holes were found on the west and south sides of the home.
Police also said they found 11 .45 caliber bullet casings near the home, and authorities later found spent bullets within the home, according to the report.
Detectives and crime scene officers were called to the home to investigate.
The investigation was still ongoing Friday morning.
