Deputies arrested owner of cows found dead, hungry in Andrews
The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office arrested the owner of cows that were found neglected or dead in the Andrews area this Wednesday, officials said.
Aljaron Collins, 36, was charged with three counts of animal cruelty. The department was searching for him Tuesday.
The cows were spotted in a pasture off Hardee Street, according to a news release. Some were dead and others hadn’t been fed.
An unidentified witness said they saw the animals in the street over the weekend, according to the release.
An investigation is underway.
