York man on bail in sex allegations charged with soliciting minor near Charleston SC

A South Carolina man on bail in connection with sexual charges in York County has been arrested on new charges of soliciting a minor for sex near Charleston, according to police, prosecutors and court records.

Nicholas Addison William Kishbaugh, 29, of York, was arrested by Mount Pleasant police Aug. 23 and charged with three counts of solicitation of a minor and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, according to arrest warrants obtained by The Herald.

Kishbaugh is charged with soliciting a person he believed to be a minor for sex and encouraging that person to produce child sexual abuse material, according to a written statement released by the S.C. Attorney General’s Office.

According to affidavits that were submitted by Mount Pleasant police to get arrest warrants, an undercover officer claiming to be a 14-year-old female had a conversation on a social media platform with Kishbaugh in May. In that conversation, Kishbaugh sought sexual photos and sent a picture of himself, the affidavits state.

Kishbaugh remains in the Charleston County jail after his most recent arrest, records show.

All the Charleston County charges are felonies.

In 2020, York County Sheriff’s Office deputies charged Kishbaugh with one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, one count of disseminating obscenity to a minor, and 10 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, according to police and court records.

In that case, Kishbaugh allegedly went to meet a person in Fort Mill he thought was a minor after sending pornographic pictures but was arrested by deputies working undercover, according to 2020 arrest warrants obtained by The Herald.

After the 2020 arrest Kishbaugh was released on bail pending trial. The 12 felony cases from 2020 against Kishbaugh remain pending, according to the attorney general’s office and online court records.

All the cases are part of South Carolina’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
