Nothing valuable taken during Goldilocks-style home break-in
A woman told Myrtle Beach police someone broke into her apartment, ate her food, slept in her bed, and used her toilet, but didn’t take anything of value, according to a police report.
Officers were called about 10:30 p.m. Friday to an apartment building on the 1900 block of North Oak Street where a 50-year-old woman reported the incident.
The victim told police she was sure she locked her door when she left earlier that day. The victim said when she came back several hours later she noticed her door was slightly open, authorities said.
The victim said she noticed a cabinet door in her kitchen was left open, her bed appeared to have been slept in, and there was urine left in her toilet bowl, police said.
The victim told authorities no one had permission to be in her apartment. Police said none of the victim’s valuables were taken - only various food items.
No arrests had been made in connection with the incident as of Saturday morning.
