Two beaten with a firearm in Georgetown County, police are searching for suspect

Two people have been injured and transported to the hospital after a shooting and assault in Georgetown County, authorities said.

The incident happened after 3 a.m. Wednesday at a home on Watford Place, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities are searching for Hunter Nance, 28, a white man with a red beard. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and grey pants.

According to the incident report, when the responding officer arrived on scene, they were told by a person standing on the property that two victims were “shot and beaten,” “bleeding excessively,” and “passed out on the ground.”

The responding officer was also told that the suspect entered the residence, beat the two victims with a weapon, cornered them behind the front door and continued beating them before fleeing the scene, according to the incident report.
