Trio arrested after heroin sold in Georgetown
Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office and 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit agents arrested three people on Tuesday after heroin was sold in Georgetown, according to Carrie Cuthbertson, sheriff’s officer spokesperson.
Adrian Akeem Cooper, 26, of Georgetown is charged with possession with the intent to distribute heroin, as well as possession with the intent to distribute heroin within a half mile of a school or park.
Clarence Joseph Thomas, 49, and Jodi Michelle Lambert, 42, both of Andrews, were each charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws and providing false information to police, Cuthbertson said.
Authorities said the trio was engaged in a street level heroin transaction on Highmarket Street in Georgetown and also said five bags of heroin were recovered from Cooper.
Cooper, Lambert, and Thomas are each being held in the Georgetown County Detention Center pending bond hearings.
