Liquor taken from store after break-in, police investigating

Myrtle Beach police said at least three bottles of liquor were stolen after someone broke out the front window of a liquor store early Monday morning.

While on patrol about 12:47 a.m., an officer heard an alarm sounding and went to investigate. The officer said he saw a light flashing at Andy’s Liquor store on 711 S. Kings Hwy. and saw the front window had been broken out, according to a police report.

Police said they searched the building and found no one inside. A 77-year-old male employee told police that at least three bottles of vodka had been taken, authorities said.

Authorities are still investigating the incident. No arrests had been made in connection with the break-in on Tuesday morning.
