Coroner identifies woman found dead in her home after assault
A 55-year-old Horry County woman found dead in her home Friday has been identified by the coroner.
Pamela Vereen died of injuries from an assault that occurred in her home on Rose Circle near Bombing Range Road, according to Horry County Coroner Michelle McSpadden.
Horry County Police Department officers responded to the call around 3 p.m. on Friday, the agency said in a Friday Facebook post.
The department is investigating the death.
