Man wanted in Florida for robbery, other charges found in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach Police found a man wanted in Florida after arresting him for disorderly conduct.

John Mikolainis, 44, was arrested following a fraud complaint from a hotel in the 1500 block of Ocean Boulevard on Sunday about 8:20 p.m.

According to the police report, Mikolainis left the hotel after the clerk called police.

However, a police officer spotted him walking down 15th Avenue South. When the officer confronted Mikolainis, he was carrying a beer and appeared to be drunk, according to the report.

The officer placed him under arrest for disorderly conduct.

According to the report, when Mikolainis was fingerprinted at the jail, he revealed to the jail staff that he gave the officer a fake name.

It was then discovered that he is wanted in Florida with warrants for strong arm robbery, criminal mischief, battery, resisting an officer and probation violations.
