One person shot at apartments near Coastal Carolina University, police say
One person was shot at an apartment complex near Coastal Carolina University, according to police.
The shooting happened about noon Thursday, according to a Facebook post from the Conway Police Department. One person sustained non-life-threatening injuries, the post states.
Coastal Carolina University tweeted a statement asking people to avoid Coastal Club Student Living and The Current at Coastal, which are apartment complexes located off-campus and marketed toward students.
The university’s tweet states the Coastal Carolina police are working with Conway police on the shooting. It was not immediately clear whether the shooting involved any university students.
