Woman reports armed robbery, police investigating

Myrtle Beach police responded to a local cab company for a report of an armed robbery that occurred on Friday, according to a police report.

Officers were called about 11:50 p.m. Friday night to the Diamond Cab company on 1354 Cannon Road where a 28-year-old woman reported the incident.

Police said the victim provided a written statement about the incident, and details of the alleged robbery were not available in the police report.

Authorities noted in the report that the incident occurred in a parking lot on the 1200 block of Pipers Pointe Lane and that a cellphone was taken, police said.

Myrtle Beach detectives and crime scene officers were called, and an investigation is ongoing.

No arrests were made in connection with the incident as of Saturday morning.
