2 people injured following reports of gunshots in Myrtle Beach

Two people were found injured in Myrtle Beach after police officers received calls about a shooting near Ocean Boulevard, officials said Wednesday.

Officers responded to reports of gunshots around 2 a.m. on Wednesday near 6th Avenue South and Ocean Boulevard, according to a Myrtle Beach Police Department Facebook post.

The injured people are receiving care. There was also damage to a building on Mitchell Street.

Officers are working to find out who is involved, officials said. There is no known threat in the area.
