Horry County police conducting death investigation near Socastee
A death investigation is underway near Socastee, police said.
The Horry County Police Department is conducting an investigation near Millpond Road and Horseshoe Circle just outside Socastee, according to the agency’s Facebook page.
The department revealed it was a death investigation in the comments section of the Facebook post, which did not initially specify what kind of investigation police were conducting.
Police have asked drivers to avoid the area.
Horry County Police Department spokesperson Mikayla Moskov did not provide additional information.
