Georgetown authorities searching for suspect after two armed robberies

Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office authorities are asking for the community’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with two convenience store armed robberies that occurred Tuesday night, according to a press release.

Authorities said that at 10:17 p.m. one male suspect entered the 521 Mini Mart, at 9275 Highmarket St., and brandished what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash. The victim, whose age was not listed, refused, and the suspect ran away on foot. Police said no injuries happened during the incident.

Then, at about 10:30 p.m., the suspect went to the Beverage Depot, at 264 Saints Delight Road, and pulled out what looked like a long gun and demanded money. The suspect then ran from the store in an unknown direction with an undetermined about of money. No injuries occurred during the incident, police said.

Anyone who has any information on the robberies, or who can identify the suspect in the surveillance images, is asked to contact the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office at 546-5101.
