Myrtle Beach police are investigating an alleged assault outside local bar

Myrtle Beach police are investigating a report of a man allegedly beaten outside a bar in the 600 block of Robert M Grissom Parkway.

The incident happened about 2 a.m. Monday.

Police received a call that the 41-year-old male victim was on the ground bleeding and had been urinated on outside of the bar, Jimmagans.

According to the police report, when the officers arrived they smelled cleaning agent and the area appeared to have been cleaned up and the doors of the bar were locked.

Officers then met up with the victim at a nearby gas station. According to the police report, the victim appeared to need stitches to his lip.

The witness who called police said that she saw a group of eight to ten men crowded over the victim and one of the men urinate on him, according to the report.

The victim was taken to Grand Strand Regional Hospital. No arrests have been made.
