Two people were inside a shed when man lit it on fire, Conway police say

A man is accused of lighting a Conway shed on fire with two victims inside and now faces decades in prison.

Conway police charged Rosalio Martinez, 34, with two counts of attempted murder and one count of third-degree arson. He is being held in J. Reuben Long Detention Center without bond.

Conway police responded to 2917 Church St. on Sept. 13 for a reported arson. When officers arrived, they found a shed on fire.

Investigators determined that Martinez threw a flammable liquid on the shed and lit it on fire while two people were inside, according to Conway police. The victims escaped the shed with minor injuries.

Attempted murder is punishable by up to 30 years in prison. Third-degree arson is punishable by up to 15 years incarceration.
