One person dead in Conway area shooting, Horry County police investigating
One person has died from injuries sustained in a shooting near Conway Saturday evening, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office.
Horry County police responded to D Street and Rose Moss Road around 7:30 p.m. for the reported shooting.
One person suffered a gunshot wound, according to police radio traffic. Police say they victim was taken to the hospital.
The coroner’s office has not yet released the name of the victim, a 19-year-old man.
Police asked people to avoid the area why the investigate the shooting. The area is off U.S. 501 north of Conway.
