Georgetown County inmate dies at hospital after being found unconscious
A Georgetown County inmate who was found unconscious in the jail died at the hospital Friday, according to a news release from the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.
The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating the death, the sheriff’s office stated.
The GCSO stated that it will release more information when it becomes available. The coroner’s office has not yet announced the name of the victim.
