At least one person injured in shooting in Socastee, police say

At least one person was injured in a shooting in Socastee on Saturday morning, according to Horry County police.

Officers are investigating an incident that took place at approximately 11 a.m. on Socastee Boulevard near Taco Bell, police say.

Police say it it believed to be an isolated incident and there is no risk to the public.

Saturday’s shooting was the second in the vicinity of a fast-food restaurant in the last couple days. One person was killed while trying to intervene in an argument at Cook Out in Myrtle Beach around 1 a.m. Friday.
