Destinee Rucker was walking out of the mall when she saw the victim covered in blood and the scene.

“My reaction was just like, ‘What in the world?’” Rucker said.

She said she first thought the victim was shot because of the amount of blood.

Two other witnesses, who declined to provide their names, said they were driving around when they watched the incident happened. They then called 911 to report it to the police.

“I thought we were witnessing a mugging at first,” one of the witnesses said.

The duo said they saw the suspects fleeing from the area and one of them had blood covering his shirt. Initially, they thought it was part of the shirt’s design until they realized that it was blood.
