Horry County police name suspect in deadly shooting near Forestbrook
Horry County police have named a suspect in connection to a deadly shooting that took place in the Forestbrook area this past week.
Police have named Craig Lee Legette, 37, as the suspect in the shooting that took place Wednesday near Bush Drive and Claypond Road outside of Myrtle Beach, according to a news release. He is wanted for murder and is considered armed and dangerous, police say.
Around 10 p.m. Wednesday night police responded to a reported shooting near Claypond Road and Bush Drive. They found the man in an SUV that was in a ditch on the side of the road.
Residents were asked to steer clear of the intersection of Bush Drive and Claypond Road around 11 p.m. as officers and detectives investigated the scene.
Some roads were temporarily blocked during the investigation.
