‘Put oxy in the bag.’ North Myrtle Beach Police looking for armed suspect who robbed CVS

Police are looking for a man who robbed a pharmacy for powerful painkillers.

Around 7 p.m. Thursday, North Myrtle Beach Police responded to the CVS on 4401 S U.S. 17 in regards to an armed robbery. According to reports, a white man wearing a mask, hat and glasses entered the store and went to the pharmacy counter.

He told the pharmacist he had a prescription and when asked for more information he said: “It’s not a prescription do you see what’s in my hands?” according to reports. He had a knife and in his other hand a note, that according to police, read: “Put oxy in the bag.”

The pharmacist handed over two bottles before the man turned and walked out of the store. Police are still investigating the case.
