Nearly a dozen people arrested during undercover prostitution bust in Myrtle Beach

About a dozen people were arrested on prostitution charges during an undercover police operation earlier this month in Myrtle Beach.

Undercover officers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit arrested 11 suspects on charges of loitering for prostitution. There were also some minor drug charges filed in connection to the operation, Myrtle Beach police Cpl. Tom Vest said.

Police charged the following people with soliciting for prostitution or loitering for prostitution:

  • Laurie Manning, 53

  • Orondae Cooper, 24

  • Dante Riccardo, 23

  • Caleb Desjardins, 29

  • James Horne Jr., 75

  • Aziz Tohirov, 31

  • Mardoqueo Murillo Gomez, 71

  • Tyrone McFadden, 31

  • Donald Jones, 33

  • Pamela Hoffman, 48

  • Ronald Uhirie, 48

The sting took place in early August with a few arrests taking place on Aug. 6 in Myrtle Beach. Some of the arrests happened on Yaupon Drive and others were on Chester Street, according to police reports. Both streets are near the oceanfront.
