Myrtle Beach man accused of raping 8-year-old girl, police report says

A Myrtle Beach man is accused of raping a 8-year-old girl, according to a report.

Horry County police charged Ryan Jarvis, 26, with third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor. He was arrested on Wednesday and booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center where is being held without bail.

On March 15, Horry County police went to North Main Street in Conway for a report of a sexual assault, according to a police report. A witness said the 8-year-old said she was visiting from North Carolina and was at Jarvis’ home on Cape Landing Circle.

The victim said she was assaulted in the home.

Third-degree criminal sexual conduct is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
