Drug agents raid North Myrtle Beach home, find 15 pounds of pot, a dozen guns, cash
Police found 15 pounds of pot, a dozen guns and nearly $40,000 in cash during a recent raid on a North Myrtle Beach home, officials say.
Agents from the 15th Judicial Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit raided the North Myrtle Beach home of James Ray Wilmoth on Wednesday and found 15 pounds of marijuana. Agents also found 12 guns, including an assault-style firearm, according to the 15th Judicial Circut Solicitor’s Office.
Police found $37,000 in cash in the home.
The DEU is a multi-jurisdictional task force overseen by the Solicitor’s Office. North Myrtle Beach police also helped in the raid.
DEU agents charged Wilmoth, 50, with trafficking marijuana 10 to 100 pounds. He was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Wednesday and is being held on $10,000 bond.
Wilmoth faces one to 10 years in prison if convicted.
