One person injured in Myrtle Beach shooting, police investigating

One person was hurt in a shooting at a Myrtle Beach apartment complex, police say.

Shortly before midnight on Saturday, officers responded to the reported shooting at 2005 Greens Blvd. The address is in the Quail Marsh Apartments complex.

Officers arrived and saw a hole in a door and a bullet casing nearby, according to a police report.

The victim came to the door and had blood coming from his face, according to the report. The victim then sat in a chair outside an apartment until EMS arrived.

The victim was taken to the hospital, the report states. Officers asked the victim if they could search his apartment, but he refused, according to the report.

The suspect was a black man with dreadlocks and a hoodie, the victim told police.

A witness said she heard a pop before calling 911, the report states. She initially thought it was fireworks, but then realized it was too loud.

Nobody else was hurt in the incident and police continue their investigation.
