A man pulled a gun on a child and his father in a dispute over nighttime fireworks along the oceanfront, according to a police report.

A victim said a man came up and pointed a gun at himself and his 10-year-old son as they shot off fireworks on the beach, according to the report.

The witness said the suspect was angry that the fireworks were being used late at night, the report states.

The suspect then put the gun back in his pocket and walked off the beach, the report states. The suspect went into the Grand Cayman Resort, the witnesses told officers.

Police have not made any arrests in the case. The suspect is described as a white man wearing a yellow shirt and black pants.

The family had a cellphone video of the incident, but police say the handgun was not seen in the recording.
