21-year-old man took nude pictures, raped his Myrtle Beach roommate, warrants say

A 21-year-old man is accused of taking nude photos of a roommate and raping her, according to arrest warrants.

Myrtle Beach police charged Jimmy Everette Wright with third-degree criminal sexual conduct and voyeurism. He was booked into the Myrtle Beach Jail on Wednesday and now is being held in J. Reuben Long Detention Center on $20,000 bond.

The victim told police that her roommate, Wright, raped her in mid-March, according to arrest warrants.

As police investigated the alleged assault, they also found nude photos of the victim on Wright’s online account, according to the warrants. Many photos were taken while the victim was in the bathroom without her consent.

Third-degree criminal sexual conduct is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Voyeurism is punishable by up to three years of incarceration.
