Horry County man faces a century in prison after being accused of having sex with a child
A Conway man faces nearly 100 years in prison after police say he engaged in sex with a child and encouraged the minor to send sexually explicit images.
The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office announced on Tuesday the arrest of Timothy Daeshawn Williams, 25. He was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, three counts of criminal solicitation of a minor, two counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and three counts of second-degree contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
He faces up to 99 years in prison if convicted.
Investigators received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which led them to Williams. Police say he solicited sex from a minor, had sexual contact with a child and encouraged a minor to produce and send sexually explicit images.
Williams is being held in J. Reuben Long Detention Center on $67,000 bond.
