54-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting missing teen found in Myrtle Beach motel

Police say a 54-year-old man sexually assaulted a teen who was reported missing, and the two were found together in a Myrtle Beach motel room.

Myrtle Beach police charged Harvey Green with third-degree criminal sexual conduct, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of less than one gram of cocaine base and simple possession of marijuana.

On Monday, officers went to Blake Motel, 209 N. Ocean Blvd., for an investigation into a missing 16-year-old.

Police found the teen and Green in the 54-year-old’s room. The victim said Green sexually assaulted her, and he admitted that he did, according to arrest warrants.

Officers also saw multiple bottles of beer and drug paraphernalia on a table in the room, according to the warrants.

Green told the officers that they were “just drinking and smoking weed,” the warrants state.

Officers found a small, white rock substance under the couch that field tested positive for cocaine, according to the warrants.

Green is being held in Myrtle Beach jail without bond. Third-degree criminal sexual conduct is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
