Myrtle Beach police charge 5 people in connection to Ocean Blvd. motel shooting

An 18-year-old is one of five people charged in connection to a Saturday morning shooting at an Ocean Blvd. motel.

Bryson Pack, 18, of Rockingham, North Carolina, was charged with attempted murder, giving a false name and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Myrtle Beach Cpl. Thomas Vest confirmed Pack was charged in connection to a 3 a.m. shooting at the Happy Holiday motel on North Ocean Blvd.

Myrtle Beach police went to the Happy Holiday Motel, 507 N. Ocean Blvd., around 3:10 a.m. Saturday for the reported shooting. The motel is off 5th Avenue North.

Three people were injured in the shooting, and two were released hours after the incident. The shooting happened after a disturbance on the third floor, police say.

Police also charged Cody Alan Harding, 19, of Hamlet, North Carolina with possession of a stolen handgun and possession of marijuana. Three juveniles from North Carolina were charged with loitering, minor in possession of a handgun and possession of a stolen handgun.

On June 17, Myrlte Beach police charged Willie Duffy with attempted murder in connection to the shooting.

Harding and Pack are being held in Myrtle Beach jail as bond has not been set in their case.

The Happy Holiday motel shooting was one of several that has happened along Ocean Blvd. in the last month.
