A car horn, a gun and cuffs: Horry cops detail how a morning argument ended with arrests
A Myrtle Beach couple faces charges after police say they pulled a gun on neighbors during an argument over a car horn.
Horry County police charged Carl Steven Andreoni, 52, with second-degree assault and battery. They also charged Kimberly Catherine Andreoni, 44, with pointing a firearm at a person. Both were booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Monday and released on Tuesday after posting bail.
Horry County police went to Whetstone Lane around 10 p.m. Monday for a fight between neighbors, according to a police report.
Carl Andreoni was intoxicated when police arrived and he said his neighbors were outside blowing their car horn at 7 a.m., according to the report. He said he confronted them about the noise and then went home.
The neighbors said Carl Andreoni was in his driveway and blowing his horn non-stop, the report states.
They asked him to stop, but Carl Andreoni came to their home yelling and cursing, according to the report. The neighbors then say Carl Andreoni told Kimberly Andreoni to get a gun. She then returned with a handgun, the report states.
The victims said they feared for their lives and Carl Andreoni threatened to shoot one of the neighbors.
