Horry County coroner identifies homicide victim, Horry County cops continue to investigate
One person was killed on Oak Log Lake Road outside of Conway on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
Tristan Sillsbury, age 19, of Conway, was shot and killed, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office. His death is being classified as a homicide.
Horry County police say a suspect is in custody and there is no threat to the community.
Around 3 p.m., Horry County police responded to Oak Log Lake Road for the reported shooting. They searched for a black car after the shooting, according to police radio traffic. There was an initial report the victim was put in the car, but his body was found along the same road.
Horry County police have not announced any arrests in the case.
Officers are on the scene and investigating the case and people are asked to avoid the area.
