Myrtle Beach Police release names, charges for suspects in Ocean Boulevard shooting

Five people have been arrested in connection to Sunday’s shooting on Ocean Boulevard, and Myrtle Beach police are asking for the public’s help locating two more suspects.

Police were called to Ocean Boulevard Sunday evening in connection to a shooting stemming from a large gathering. It was the first weekend in Myrtle Beach where new hotel reservations were allowed following the shutdown of the tourism industry from the novel virus COVID-19.

Of the five charged, two are 18 years old, one is 17, one is 20 and the other is still considered a juvenile, according to police.

Antonio Trayvon Brown, 22, and Dennis Dashawn Stewart, 20, are the final two suspects police say are wanted in the shooting. They’re both from Cheraw, S.C.

In a news release Monday night, police warned the public against attempting to apprehend a wanted person, recommending you call the police at 843-918-1382 if you know of their whereabouts or have information concerning the case.

The following are those who’ve been arrested and their charges:

• Anthony Deantez Griffin, 17, of Pageland, S.C.: seven counts of attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and unlawful carry of a pistol
• Quandre Tyson, 20, of Pageland, S.C.: seven counts of attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and unlawful carry of a pistol
• Dewan Cole, 18, of Kershaw, S.C., is active duty with the U.S. Navy and is in custody in Norfolk, Virginia. Once extradited he faces the following: seven counts of attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and unlawful carrying of a pistol.
• Tristan Jackson, 18, of Monroe, N.C.: disorderly conduct and giving false information.

Brown and Stewart both face eight counts of attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and unlawful carry of a pistol.
