Myrtle Beach police arrest man in connection to stabbing at Flagg Street motel

Police arrested one person in connection to a stabbing at a Myrtle Beach motel Friday night.

Bernard Maurice King, 50, was charged with armed robbery, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in connection to the incident, according to online police records.

Police responded to the Atlantic View Motel, 601 Flagg St., around 10:30 p.m. for the reported stabbing, according to a police report. Several detectives and other police officers also responded to the motel to help in the investigation.

King was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Monday and is being held on $105,000 bond.

Armed robbery is punishable by up to 30 years in prison. Assault and battery is punishable by up to 20 years incarceration.
