84-year-old suffers ‘serious injuries’ in Horry County shooting, 1 person in custody
A victim suffered “serious injuries” in a Friday afternoon shooting in Horry County, police said.
The victim is 84 years old, according to police radio traffic.
One person is in custody in connection to the shooting on Edisto Court. An elderly man was being held in the back of a police car about an hour after the shooting.
Horry County police went to an Edisto Court home around 2:30 p.m. for the reported shooting. Police say there is no threat to the community.
Edisto Court is located in The Lakes Subdivision off Holmestown Road in the Surfside Beach area. Several police officers are on scene and investigating the shooting.
