Three people arrested in connection to shooting in Myrtle Beach

Three people were arrested in connection to a Saturday morning shooting in Myrtle Beach.

Myrtle Beach police went to 10th Avenue South around 8:30 a.m. for the incident. One person went to the hospital with a gunshot wound, Cpl. Thomas Vest said.

On Saturday afternoon, officers went to the 700 block of 13th Avenue South and a Highway 15 residence as part of the investigation, Vest said.

Three people were arrested during the investigation. Officers charged Keith Burris, 22, with attempted murder. Brandon Lee Hernandez Knott, 20, was charged with attempted murder, simple larceny, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, unlawful carrying of a pistol and pointing a weapon at a person.

Belyn Sierra Rodriguez, 20, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and obstructing justice.

Vest said the attempted murder charges are in connection to the shooting and the drug charges are related to the investigation into the incident.
