Their dogs were fighting, that’s when shots hit their Loris home, police say
A man opened fire on a Loris home soon after his dog was fighting with another dog, according to a report.
Horry County police went to a Tram Road residence in the Loris area on Wednesday for a report of shots into a home.
The victim said she spoke to the suspect by text, and a dispute over a wallet started, according to a police report.
Another person in the home got a phone call from the suspect. That call came in as the victim was trying to separate her dog from the suspect’s dog that were fighting each other.
The suspect said he was on the way to the home, and when he arrived someone yelled a threat, the report states. There were five people inside, and they heard several shots and a window break. One person also said they saw the suspect drive away with a chain attached from the back porch to his truck’s bumper.
When police arrived, they found a chain tied to the porch and a bumper in the yard, the report states. Officers also found a shell casing on the porch. Nobody was hurt in the shooting.
There have been no arrests in the case, and police did not release any suspect information.
