Police arrest Longs man in connection to shooting that left two brothers dead

Horry County police have made an arrest in connection to Saturday’s killing of two brothers from Longs.

Police arrested Tiyen Shabaz Stockdale, 20, of Longs, who faces two counts of murder and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to a news release from Horry County police spokeswoman Mikayla Moskov.

Police determined through their investigation that Stockdale fatally shot Tavon Marquel Livingston, 26, and Shamon Dayvon Livingston, 25, on Saturday morning near S.C. 90, the release states.

Officers responded to the area of Highway 90 and Melissa Lane around 2:45 a.m. Saturday for a reported shooting. On scene, police found the two brothers dead and another person wounded. Highway 90 was shut down in both directions for a period of time as officers investigated the area.

Bail has not been set for Stockdale.

The incident remains under investigation and further charges are possible, the release states. Police encourage anyone with further information to contact them on the Horry County Police Department tipline at 843-915-8477.
