Coroner’s office identifies victim from vehicle-vs.-moped crash in Myrtle Beach
The Horry County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim from Friday’s fatal vehicle-vs.-moped wreck.
The driver of the moped, Tommy Anderson, 51, of Myrtle Beach, died on scene, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Chris Dontell.
Shane Divine Bandolas, 25, has been charged with DUI with death in connection to the incident and was booked into Myrtle Beach Jail on Saturday. Bandolas, who faces up to 25 years in prison, also was charged with third-degree assault for a separate incident.
Bail has not been set in his case.
Shortly before midnight, police and fire went to a crash between a vehicle and a moped on North Kings Highway near 46th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach. One person died in the wreck.
