One person dead, one in custody after overnight crash on Myrtle Beach’s Kings Highway

One person died and another person is in police custody after an overnight crash in Myrtle Beach.
Shortly before midnight, police and fire went to a crash between a vehicle and a moped on North Kings Highway near 46th Avenue North. One person died in the wreck.
Myrtle Beach police Cpl. Thomas Vest said officers took the driver of the vehicle into custody. That person has not been identified.
The Horry County Coroner’s Office has not identified the victim of the collision.
