Report: Woman said she was abducted at gunpoint in Myrtle Beach, raped in Horry County

A woman told police she was abducted at gunpoint in Myrtle Beach and then raped.

The victim reported the alleged incident on Tuesday. The victim said she was on North Kings Highway near downtown when a suspect pulled up in a black vehicle, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.

The suspect tried to get her in the car by honking and yelling at her, the report states. The suspect then showed a silver handgun and told her to “get in or else.”

The victim said the suspect drove her outside of city limits and sexually assaulted her, according to the report.

After the assault, the suspect drove the victim back to Kings Highway and dropped her off, the report states. The victim went to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Myrtle Beach police are investigating the case and Horry County police was also notified as the assault did not happen in the city. The suspect is not named in the report and officers have not made an arrest in connection to the incident.

The victim described the suspect as a black man with black hair, brown eyes, about 5-feet-10-inches tall and 170 pounds.
