A naked woman assaulted another female outside a Myrtle Beach residence, police say

A 24-year-old woman assaulted another woman while nude outside a residence during a series of altercations that followed a night of drinking in Myrtle Beach on Saturday, according to a police report.

Around 10:30 p.m., police responded to the 2000 block of Greens Boulevard for the report of an assault. The victim told police that she, the offender — later identified as Kasey Margaret Westraad — a male witness and others had gone out for dinner and a few drinks that evening, the report states.

The victim told police that Westraad got “a little out of control” during the outing, so the three of them went back to her house, where they continued to drink. The victim told officers that Westraad “became more of a problem” when they got there and constantly tried to get her to have sexual relations throughout the night, according to the report.

The victim told police that after several hours of turning down Westraad’s advances, the suspect attempted to kiss her. The victim pushed off Westraad, who then punched her in the face multiple times before the witness separated them, the report states.

Westraad then became apologetic and went into a bedroom in hopes of having the victim feel bad and follow her there, the victim told police. Instead, the witness took the victim outside to “cool off” and make sure that she was OK, according to the report.

Westraad then tried to go outside without any clothes on and became hostile, the report states. The witness tried to keep the door shut so Westraad would not be outside without any clothes on, but the suspect broke through the door and struck the victim in the face a few more times, police say.

The witness told police he was unable to get the two separated until it was clear officers were on the way. Westraad went back inside and remained there until police showed up, according to the report.

The witness — who police said appeared to be sober — and the victim — whose face was swollen and red — were consistent with their account of the incidents, police noted.

Westraad was charged with third-degree assault and battery, damage to property and resisting arrest, online records show.
