Woman faces prison after police find vulnerable adult unresponsive, injured, report says

A woman faces up to 15 years in prison after police found a vulnerable adult unresponsive in a bathroom, according to a report.

Horry County police charged Kelly Michelle Ross, 34, with abuse or neglect of a vulnerable adult. She is being held in J. Reuben Long Detention Center without bond.

Officers went to a Martinfield Plantation Drive home in the Conway area in December for a disturbance.

The victim had recently been released from the hospital, defecated inside the home and then went out to the yard naked, the report states.

When an officer arrived they went to the home and found the victim lying on the bathroom floor unresponsive and with visible injuries, the report states.

Ross was arrested in connection to the incident though the report does not detail what actions, or inactions, led to the abuse charge.
