He put a gun to her head, but what he said in cuffs that made cops up charges: report
A domestic violence suspect allegedly uttered six words that might cost him a decade of freedom.
“I’m going to kill you...” Ismail Omar Dickerson reportedly told a victim while he was cuffed after the Monday domestic incident in Myrtle Beach, a police report states.
Based on the statement, police decided to up Dickerson’s charges from first-degree domestic violence to domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, the report says. First degree is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, whereas domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature is punishable by up to 20 years incarceration.
Police also charged Dickerson with kidnapping.
Around 10 a.m., Myrtle Beach police went to an Osceloa Street residence for a reported assault. The victim told police that Dickerson knocked on her door and forced his way inside when she opened it. He made the victim get on her knees and held the gun to her head, according to the police report.
When Dickerson put the gun on a dresser, the victim ran to another apartment, the report states. The woman said she had a video on her cellphone of Dickerson threatening with a gun.
Police say they found the victim’s cellphone on Dickerson.
Officers also found the gun used in the confrontation was reported stolen out of Conway, according to the report.
