Horry County police investigating after reported shooting
Horry County police are investigating after a person reported being shot in the Longs area Friday.
Police responded to Oscar Road around 12:30 p.m. after a person reported being shot in the neck and chest and while in a wooded area, according to police radio traffic. Horry County police spokeswoman Mikayla Moksov confirmed police responded to the reported shooting.
The victim’s condition has not been released.
Oscar Road is off Wampee Road between Longs and Little River.
Horry County Fire Rescue also responded to the scene. Police have asked community members steer clear to the area and for drivers find alternative routes.
