Conway man accused of domestic violence left bruised for his Horry County jail mugshot

A man accused of domestic violence was heavily bruised for his mugshot after police say a witness helped fend off his attack.

Horry County police charged Stefan James Huntzicker, 32, with first-degree domestic violence. His mugshot on J. Reuben Long shows a bruised lip, a black right eye and a black and swollen shut left eye.

He remains in Horry County’s jail as bond as of Wednesday afternoon with a $10,000 bond set.

Officers went to a Flower Drive residence in the Conway area around 11 p.m. Monday for a domestic fight.

Officer spoke to the victim, who said she was choked, according to a police report. A witness intervened and punched Huntzickler in the face several times, the witness said.

The witness said he went to the bedroom and saw the victim being choked, and Huntzickler told the witness to get out, according to the report. Huntzickler then walked over to the witness, who responded by punching him in the face.

Huntzickler had several injuries and refused to give information to the police, the report states.

“He continued to yell ‘look at [my] face,’” an officer wrote in the report.

Huntzickler went to the hospital, where the officer spoke to him again. The 32-year-old said he was drinking and did not remember anything.

Police say the victim did not have any physical injuries.

First-degree domestic violence is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
