Police: Man inappropriately touched preteen at Myrtle Beach home

A 24-year-old man is accused of inappropriately touching a preteen girl and sharing sexual messages, according to an arrest warrant.

Myrtle Beach police charged Barron Jaquan Williams, of Myrtle Beach, with third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor. He was arrested on Tuesday and faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

Officers started to investigate a sexual assault at Williams’ Coastal Lane home in October, according to the warrant. A 12-year-old girl told investigators that Williams touched her and alluded that if she were older, he would have sex with her.

Williams told police that he accidentally touched the victim during a hug and may have touched her when he pushed his foot against her leg, the warrant states.

A witness also saw Williams and the preteen passing a tablet back-and-forth, according to the warrant. The preteen said there were sexual messages on the device.
