A domestic fight at Broadway at the Beach ends with a toothpick stabbing

A toothpick was the weapon of choice in a stabbing at Myrtle Beach’s Broadway at the Beach over the weekend, police said.

Officers went to a reported domestic fight at the popular attraction around 8 p.m. Sunday. Police met with Sarah Reyes, 25, and Broadway at the Beach security, according to a police report. Reyes admitted that she stabbed her husband with a toothpick above his right eye.

Reyes said she stabbed him after a fight about the car keys, the report states. She added she was emotional because of personal issues and has “been going through a lot.”

Her husband did not want to complete victim’s paperwork and declined to cooperate with the investigation, the report states.

Officers arrested Reyes and charged her with third-degree domestic violence.
